Next Summer might be different for domestic 7s. Some changes have been proposed that could change the way teams qualify. (Membership required)
College:
The College Premier Division seems to be at a crossroads. We Are Rugby reports that some teams are not coming back at that the league is looking to replace them while higher-profile school. Also, a PAC-12 conference might be formed and separated from the CPD.

4 teams have left the CPD. Dartmouth joined the Ivy League, LSU and Tenn joined the SEC and I think the 4th is Claremont who left for financial reasons. The meeting Brian Lowe was referring to never mentioned once that they were forming a PAC12 conference. They were discussing a Pacific Sevens Tournament... not a 15's conference. Legally they could not name it that (PAC12)anyway. They might be looking at forming a Pacific Conference with schools from the PAC12 down the road, but they wont fall under the PAC12 moniker. Brian Lowe needs to learn the difference between facts and complete BS.
