The Six Nations and cup play in the Home Nations made for a quiet weekend for most American overseas. Of the players that did play, they mostly lost. Chris Wyles and Saracens lost an opportunity to win silverware as they lost to Sale in the LV= Cup while Taku Ngwenya and Biarritz were embarrassed by Top 14 leaders Toulon. The only American to emerge victorious in major competition play was Scott LaValla and Stade Francais. One notable match over the weekend, however, was the annual match between Trinity University, with their trio of Americans, and Oxford University. Trinity won the match 7-5.
