The pinnacle of the High School All-Americans tour of Argentina is a pair of matches against the Argentina U-18 later in the month. But that shouldn't take away from the importance of getting off to a good start against Cordoba. The region's full team has won the Campeonato Argentino (the country's top competition) the last two year's and has consistently produced players for the national team. Tonight's match should be a very tough test for the All-Americans. Head coach Salty Thompson announced his roster earlier today.
That said, the All-Americans have a strong roster of their own, led by seniors Titi Lamositele, Valdemar Lee-Lo, Malcolm May, and Zach Webber. Both Lamositele and Lee-Lo will start at prop. Three sophomores also make the starting lineup.
If the All-Americans can get off to a bright start against Cordoba it could signal the beginning of a strong tour.
